What forms of payment do you accept?
Checks, money orders or cashier’s checks may be mailed or dropped off at our office or our convenient after-hours drop box. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept credit or debit cards at this time. We do not accept cash payments for rent.
Can I pay rent online?
We are pleased to offer flexible online payment services to our tenants. You can make a one-time payment or set up a recurring monthly draft of your bank account on the same day each month. The link can be found on the homepage of our website.
I would like to apply for one of your properties. What do I need?
An application can be completed here on our homepage or in person at our office. All adults 18+ residing at the property will need to fill out an application and submit the $35.00 application fee before the application will be processed. Fees can be paid here via PayPal or at the office by cash, check or money order. We do not accept credit cards at the office. A copy of the applicant’s Driver’s License or state issued I.D. card must be provided to the property manager.
Do you offer leases for less than one year?
Unfortunately, Florida law requires sales tax to be paid on rent for leases that last for less than one year so we are unable to do short-term leases. However, once a one year lease has been fulfilled you can request a lease extension for a much shorter period of time or even a month-to-month agreement
What if my circumstances change and I need to break my lease?
Notify your property manager as soon as you know that you will need to break your lease. The Lease Break Penalty Fee is equal to two month’s rent.
What is the company policy on pets?
While the majority of the homes Equity manages are pet friendly, it is important to remember that the homes are all privately owned. Each owner has the choice whether or not to allow pets to reside at the property. There may be size or breed restrictions based on the owner’s individual preference or the policies of his or her homeowner’s insurance. For this reason ALL pets that will reside at the property MUST be disclosed at the time of the application. Any future pets must be cleared with the property manager in advance and the associated Pet Fees must be paid.
What are the Pet Fees?
Equity does not charge monthly ‘Pet Rent’. However, there is a one-time non-refundable Pet Fee per APPROVED cat or dog residing at the property. This fee is due at the time the pet is moved to the residence. This DOES NOT cover any damages or incidentals caused by the pet. Pet owners are still responsible for all damages.
